From Layout to Delivery
We simplify the process of designing and manufacturing custom paper tape. Here's a breakdown of how we execute orders with manufacturing precision.
Our Simple 3-Step Pipeline
STEP 01 — SUBMIT SPECS
Fill out our custom quote request form. You can select your tape material (Self-Adhesive vs Reinforced), roll width, volume, and attach your brand files. A member of our Leyland sales team reviews the info and returns a custom quote within 1 working day.
STEP 02 — PDF ARTWORK PROOF
Once the quote is accepted, our graphics team aligns your logo or message onto our digital tape template. We send you a high-resolution PDF proof showing print repetition lines, margins, and center markers. We adjust the file until you are 100% satisfied and give formal artwork approval.
STEP 03 — MANUFACTURE & SHIP
Your approved design goes straight to our flexographic printing department in Lancashire. We mount the printing plates, color-mix water-based inks to match your Pantone references, print, slit the master rolls to size, and ship them to your facility. Total production time is 10 working days.
Artwork Guidelines
Follow these setup rules to ensure your design transfers with maximum crispness and zero distortion to physical paper fibers.
1. File Formats
We require vector files for printing to prevent pixelation. Submit your logo in one of the following formats:
- • .AI (Adobe Illustrator)
- • .EPS (Encapsulated PostScript)
- • .PDF (High-Resolution Vector)
2. Colors & Inks
We use the Pantone Matching System (PMS) to mix our inks. Provide Pantone Solid Coated references (e.g., PMS 485 C).
Note: Kraft paper's natural brown shade affects ink appearance slightly. We recommend bold, high-contrast colors (black, dark blue, deep green, red) for brown kraft tape.
3. Print Repeats
Our flexographic printing cylinders repeat your design at fixed intervals along the roll. The standard repeat lengths (the spacing from the start of your logo to the next start) are:
- • 220.6mm Repeat
- • 254.3mm Repeat
- • 314.1mm Repeat
